A fusion engine core was a type of power core used to power the fusion engines of a sandcrawler.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the Jawa merchant Pinota Pakinota offered a fusion engine core for trade while on the desert planet Tatooine.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess traded Pakinota ten units of coarseweave, six accu-accelerators, and five MG-2 power exceeders in exchange for a fusion engine core, which she later traded for a BT-P7 ion accelerator in order to upgrade her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.[1]
Behind the scenes
Fusion engine cores appeared as a quest item in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The player must obtain a fusion engine core to as part of the process for upgrading their blaster's ion surge module to level four.[1]
