An accu-accelerator was a component used in blasters, engines,[1] and speeders.[2] Accu-accelerators were used in starship ion engines. Some were scrounged by Jawa scavengers to construct their ion blasters; the components, along with a droid restraining bolt, were added to the blaster's firing mechanism.[1] The accelerators were also used in Moll K-19T power generators.[2]

Behind the scenes

Accu-accelerators were first mentioned in the canon continuity in the 2015 Dorling Kindersley reference book Ultimate Star Wars.[1] They later appeared as upgrade materials in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[2]

Accu-accelerators were first mentioned in Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1991 roleplaying supplement, Cracken's Rebel Field Guide.[3]
