"Th-the New Republic hasn't yet secured the Outer Rim. Frong is v-vulnerable. By giving my vote, I'm earning protection for my planet and my people."
―Senator Rethalow[1]

Frong was a planet located in the Outer Rim that was the homeworld of the Frong species.[1]

Jedi Generals Iskat Akaris and Tualon Yaluna (both pictured) made their way to Frong during the final days of the Clone Wars.

In 19 BBY,[3] during the closing days of the Clone Wars between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic, the Condefederate Supreme Commander General Grievous launched an attack on the planet with his battle droid forces, leaving a fiery inferno in their wake. The Jedi Order dispatched Jedi Generals Iskat Akaris, Tualon Yaluna and their company of clone troopers, led by Captain Spider, to investigate, bringing Jedi Knight Sunghi Silpari with them. After searching a swathe of the planet without successfully locating Grievous,[4] who was instead located and slain by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Outer Rim planet Utapau,[5] the group rested.[4]

During the interlude, the clones recieved Order 66[4] from Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, who was secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious and the puppet master of the war.[5] Forced to obey the command thanks to the behavioral modification biochips implanted within their brains,[6] the clones shot Silpari and leveled their blasters at Akaris and Yaluna, surprising both Jedi, the latter feeling the simultaneous deaths of their kind across the galaxy[4] thanks to Order 66.[5] Spider proceeded to hold out his holoprojector, which displayed a cloaked figure—Sidious himself. The individual offered Akaris her life and information the Order had withheld from her in exchange for joining him. She took the offer, ignoring Yaluna's warning, and was escorted by Spider and several clones to Coruscant. While the mysterious person told the clones to execute Yaluna as part of Order 66, the Jedi, who would himself fall to the dark side of the Force, was eventually taken prisoner to Coruscant after sustaining serious injuries in combat against the troopers.[4]

New Republic Era

After the fiery destruction Frong endured at the hands of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the planet became part of the New Republic with Senator Rethalow giving his vote to earn the government's protection for him and his people.[1]
