- "I'm sorry, I don't understand Frog."
- ―Din Djarin, to "Frog Lady"
"Frog" was a language spoken by the two Querm Rybet "Frog Lady" and her husband.[2] It consisted of various clicks and groans. In 9 ABY,[3] when the human mechanic Peli Motto hired the Mandalorian Din Djarin to transport "Frog Lady" to the water moon Trask, Motto spoke Frog to "Frog Lady" and acted as a translator to Djarin. During their journey, Djarin expressed that he couldn't speak Frog.[1]
Behind the scenes
Frog first appeared in the Chapter 10: The Passenger, the second episode of the The Mandalorian Season Two. Though in the episode itself it is unclear whether "Frog" is the official name of the language or simply what Din Djarin nicknamed it, the subtitles used it as the name, confirming "Frog" is the proper term.[1]
