Frejuke

The Frejukes were a sentient species that possessed heat-retaining blubber. Wolentic Dudge, a resident of Kijimi City on the planet Kijimi, was a Frejuke whose blubber made him a good fit for the world's snowy climate.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Frejuke, albeit unidentified, first appeared in the theatrical film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, the final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.^[2] which released on December 20, 2019.^[3] The species was designed by concept artist Ivan Manzella.^[4] The species later got identified in the 2024 Dorling Kindersley reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, which was authored by Dan Brooks, Megan Crouse, Amy Richau, Amy Ratcliffe, Brandon Wainerdi, Dan Zehr, and Kelly Knox.^[1]
