Sourdough (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
This applies under Wookieepedia is not a dictionary. Despite being a Comprehensive Article (and no offense to JediMasterMacaroni in TCing this), there is no indication that this subject has any unique properties to the Star Wars universe; being a Comprehensive Article merely indicates that the article essentially covers all aspects of the subject seen in-universe and may not require further improvement, not that it meets notability requirements. There is still precedent of status articles having been deleted in the past, and its status does not protect it. HOWEVER, unlike the original nomination for this subject, I instead propose that it should be redirected to Bread, with relevant information regarding the subject being given on that page.

- I think this one's debatable: do these breads fall under the second exemption listed on WP:DICT? — "The item's distinct lack of an otherworldly quality creates a unique incongruity. For example, in a universe with bacta and laser scalpels, why does a child have braces? And in a galaxy full of blasters, it's interesting when one lands on a planet dominated by swords." OOM 224 05:30, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- I do not believe so. No specific reasoning or note of its incongruity is given. DFaceG (talk) 05:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- In addendum, while its inclusion in-universe may be humorous, it isn't drawn into question or lingered upon. DFaceG (talk) 05:45, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- A counter-argument to that would be that it doesn't matter whether it is emphasised by the source or not. If we consider "unique incongruity" to mean the existence of specific real world items like food in the Star Wars universe, then as Ayre said in the previous TC it could be kept based on this rationale. Playing Devil's advocate no more: why should food be an exception to the principle that real world items appearing in Star Wars should not receive articles? Other than maybe PB&J and the infamous TCW sushi, there is no inherent real world cultural root to "generic" foods like sourdough. Nothing inherent to the food has changed, and the mere fact that it exists in the Star Wars setting is not "unique incongruity" if we consider that term to mean being inconsistent with the (advanced) technological setting of Star Wars. The consumption of these real world food in Star Wars is not incongruous to the setting, so that is not grounds for being exempt from the dictionary article policy. OOM 224 06:02, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

PB&J (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Same reasoning as above. However, this article is not a CA. Additionally, while it isn't a type of bread, I decided to still file it under this TC and instead propose it be redirected to sandwich.

- We have articles on other types of sandwiches. No need to single this one out just because it has a real-world counterpart. SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 12:11, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
