Unidentified 2-1B surgical droid (Jabba's Palace) (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Nothing notable about this droid at all that wouldn't be better off being added to the 2-1B surgical droid page. Not added the Legends page because I have no clue if the other sources listed add anything to potential notability Lewisr (talk) 05:04, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Keep
- This is one of the droids that showed us they could feel pain! I've added a couple of missing appearances, along with the scant details provided in a couple of the adaptations. Immi Thrax

- I don't really see how this makes the droid notable though. If it had been a very rare occurance then I might have understood. B1's for example are shown to be able to feel pain all throughout TCW etc, plus the gonk droid in the very same scene as this droid Lewisr (talk) 19:47, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, but TCW came 25 years after this droid and the gonk droid--not the case in 1983! And Threepio previously did not show pain when he was in pieces in TESB. This wasn't a blink-and-miss-it moment, either. Immi Thrax

- Fair :P but even still, the fact that C-3PO didn't show pain, didn't necessarily mean droids couldn't feel it Lewisr (talk) 21:37, 22 December 2022 (UTC)

- Technically the Unidentified GNK power droid (Jabba's Palace) also shows pain, and it's in the same scene so it's not that rare. Rsand 30 (talk) 17:30, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

- Yeah, it's actually focused on enough in the film that i'd argue 'tis notable Fan26 (Talk) 16:45, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

(Talk) 18:43, 21 December 2022 (UTC) - I'll link to a spoiler that explains my vote Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:52, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
- That's pretty speculative to say right now, plus future potential notability doesn't make notability now, as exampled here Lewisr (talk) 19:59, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
- Precedence doesn't make it better, I honestly think we shouldn't delete articles until after the release, given a TC is required with enough votes to overturn a previous decision, it makes it much harder to resurrect a TC'd subject than it is to TC it in the first place, Wampa cave for example and that was years after the previous vote. Imagine deleting a subject who then features prominently in the comic but we can't get the votes to recreate the article, which is an entirely realistic outcome! Manoof (he/him/his)

- Per Immi and the upcoming comic means we shouldn't delete if they do feature, it will be much harder to resurrect a TC'd subject than to not delete it in the first place. Manoof (he/him/his)
