Unclaimsies (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
This is well written and referenced, yeah, but this boils down to a child's name for the concept "takeback/no takeback". I think this is a universal concept that doesn't need an article. Also, even by the dialogue of the show, "unclaimsies" isn't an actual thing. Cade Calrayn 14:58, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

- It definitely needs to be covered, but List of phrases and slang would suffice. Same with "Claimsies." Bonzane10

- I agree with Rsand that it's plot significant, but I don't think it's notable enough as a standalone concept to justify having its own page. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 16:16, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- Claimsies/Unclaimsies are both just childish versions of the word claim. There's nothing particularly unique about them that needs its own page since they'll be covered on List of phrases and slang. CometSmudge (talk) 17:38, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- Disagreed, there's more to it than just "claim", both technically (from a grammatical viewpoint, you call claimsies but never "call claim") and practically (it involves a whole procedure). @Mustafar29「talk」(he/him/his/hisself) 21:16, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

I think it could be merged/moved to Claimsies. It's been used twice now in the show and actually holds value as silly as it may be, SM-33 considered it a valid claim that overpowers the pirate code lol Mor9347

Per above, idk about a page for "unclaimsies" by itself, but "claimsies" is actually notable to the plot of Skeleton Crew, plus it has specific rules the kids use (like claiming the outside of the ship versus the interior, etc) I think claimsies is worth a page. Rsand 30 (talk) 15:08, 11 January 2025 (UTC)I understand your concerns, mostly because I had them myself before writing the article. The doubts I had, I dispelled, though, and so let me try to dispel yours 😁
1. If we assume unclaimsies is a real-world concept, it doesn't qualify it to be deleted per se. There's much more earthly stuff going around the wiki, including linen or caf.
2. Unclaimsies isn't so down-to-earth as it appears. First and foremost, it is a Star-Wars-sized version, given that the very word unclaimsies is not an existing lexeme. As unclaimsies is Star-Wars-sized un-dibs, so are caf and turbolifts Star-Wars-sized coffee and elevators, respectively, the only difference being that unclaimsies isn't a physical object. But here at Wookiee, we don't limit ourselves to physical objects only, cf. Democracy.
3. The notion that unclaimsies isn't an actual thing is gravely incorrect in light of the last episode! Afterall, it was enough of a real thing for SM-33 to switch his allegiances, which—as the previous had shown—he doesn't do unless his programming permits. Rather than a non-existent thing, it's at worst a controversial thing from an in-universe viewpoint, just like many in-universe controversial viewpoints, including Beaumont Kin's historiography, where he often resorts to non-definitive statements. Overall, I call keepsies and second Mor9347 that SM-33 considered it a valid claim that overpowers the pirate code. @Mustafar29「talk」(he/him/his/hisself) 15:21, 11 January 2025 (UTC)The multiple appearances and the power to overrule the Pirate's Code convinced me. But Claimsies and unclaimsies should definitely be together. NBDani(they/them)Yeager's Repairs 17:15, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- See, I disagree with the idea that it "overruled" the Pirate's Code; to me it came across as SM-33 just deciding to side with the kids. He even says as much, that it doesn't actually overrule the Code, but that it's "good enough" for him to pick a side. Cade

- SM-33 is a droid programmed to follow the Pirate's Code so closely he couldn't fathom being on the Onyx Cinder without a captain. I genuinely believe SM-33 liked the kids and used the claimsies rules as an excuse, but the fact it was enough for SM-33 to "override" his protocol I think is important. NBDani
(they/them)Yeager's Repairs 17:29, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- Exactly! It's good enough for him to treat it as a loophole to override the Pirate's Code. @Mustafar29「talk」(he/him/his/hisself) 12:48, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
