KDY battle cruiser (New Republic) (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Nothing noteworthy here. No information about the ship class. Hk 47 (talk) 14:31, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
Redirect to [Battlecruiser/Legends]
Hk 47 (talk) 14:31, 5 September 2025 (UTC)This probably should've been a CSD, but yeah. CadeCalrayn 14:36, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
Ah, gotta love lack of a space before the parenthetical.—spookywillowwtalk 23:24, 8 September 2025 (UTC)CometSmudge (talk) 02:02, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

- Now that it's fairly confirmed as the Republic-class, this is an unnecessary redirect. Cade

- I think there should be more justification for why it needs to be redirected than just that there's "nothing notable". Going by the page, does the source material not indicate this as its own ship class? THat would warrant a TC vote then. Fan26 (Talk) 14:37, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
- Can't vote but wanted my say if that's okay. I'm surprised that this briefly mentioned ship didn't receive a page before this. It was identified as being a KDY battle cruiser that was a kilometer in length and Mara and Luke fly across it as it was being "sunk" by a Yuuzhan Vong vessel before detonating in the novel. It definitely warrants some sort of recognition (after all, we do have a page for the unidentified Yuuzhan Vong ship that took down the Champion at Kalarba. Another note, apparently it was meant to be the Republic-class cruiser or be at least linked to it per an interview with Walter Jon Williams, the author of Destiny's Way (where it is I can't recall right now but it was somewhere on the Jedi Council Forums.
- If you can find it, that'd be wonderful; if that turns out to be the case I see no reason why we shouldn't treat it as a Republic-class and redirect this. Cade

- Actually, yeah, checking some of my sources, this is definitely just a Republic-class, which originates from the same book series. No need for a separate article on the class, then. Cade

- I'll attempt to locate the source on JFC tomorrow or at least by Monday (my time). -- Noash Retrac (talk) 15:19, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
- Found these links in JFC in the Walter Jon Williams's Q&A though not what I think was there to link the two ships. It seems to have been lost for now. I also have links in other parts of the Forums: https://boards.theforce.net/threads/the-official-walter-jon-williams-discussion-thread.5816776/page-23#post-9009856, https://boards.theforce.net/threads/the-official-walter-jon-williams-discussion-thread.5816776/page-27#post-9151187, https://boards.theforce.net/threads/the-most-powerful-ship-in-the-nr-fleet.9101755/page-3#post-9154162, https://boards.theforce.net/threads/share-your-headcanons.50050047/page-249#post-59018718, https://boards.theforce.net/threads/the-official-walter-jon-williams-discussion-thread.5816776/page-26#post-9141790 -- Noash Retrac (talk) 05:39, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
