Columns

Wookieepedia has been around for many years, if something from TCW didn't have at least have a legends page before today there's almost certainly a good reason why. Wookieepedia is not a dictionary --Lewisr (talk) 01:57, July 27, 2018 (UTC)

The user who created these and the boarding party articles (also up for TC) would do well to read this and take it to heart: Wookieepedia exists to catalog the Star Wars universe, but only within reason. We do not serve to list every item that has ever existed in Star Wars if a simple real-world dictionary definition would suffice. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:59, July 27, 2018 (UTC)
  5. The usage of "column" in this context is no different from the usage of the word in a real-world context, making this a straight-up dictionary entry and a clear WP:NOTDICTIONARY violation. Keep

  1. This is an interesting case. While I almost always agree with the notion that Wookieepedia is not a dictionary and articles that fall under that premise are typically rightfully deleted, I think this word is much lesser known and therefore deserving of an article. You could argue that we don't need it and people could go look it up elsewhere, and that's fair, but then that takes them off the site. Alternatively, by keeping an article that people would be more inclined to click on to find out what it means, we keep those people on the site. By going to this page, they are more likely to go to another page and keep the reading cycle going. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:09, July 27, 2018 (UTC)
