There is a named character of this species. And I see this was, at one point, good enough to be awarded GA status. How did it attain that if it didn't meet notability standards? And the only reason the status was removed was due to word count, not due to notability reasons. - JMAS

- We have had cases of other CAs or GAs being deleted. The fact that the quality was well written enough when an article existed does not mean that articles always pass notability standards. Anyhow, there is only one known individual of this species, and with notability standards it is mentioned there need to be more than one. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 02:00, March 29, 2020 (UTC)
- The correct answer is because the Notability rules for sentient species were passed three years after this article became a GA.
