Apparently, there is a loophole in the OOU Layout Guide that allows for TV series and seasons to retain the {{App}} template, despite being essentially the same as a novel or comic series. So, #10 on the Published narrative works LG should be altered to:
- Appearances uses {{App}} and is only necessary for articles on individual works, such as a single novel, comic, or episode. It should not be used for articles on collections of multiple works, such as a book trilogy, television series or season, comic book story arc or series. (An exception to this is for a series that has not yet been released, where its episodes or issues do not yet have articles. In that case, the information on the series' appearances may be contained within the series' article until such time that it can be moved to the appropriate episode or issue.) For novels with a Dramatis Personae, the Dramatis Personae is listed at the beginning of this section's "Characters" sub-section.
This would result in the removal of the {{App}} template from our articles on television series and seasons, just as we do for comics and books.
- Note: the text in the parantheses in the middle of the proposal is an addendum regarding exceptions such as Star Wars Rebels.

Oppose
Now that I think about it more, I support implementing this for everything but Rebels, which isn't going to be released for at least another half a year. The information that we have so far on appearances in Rebels (provided it's properly confirmed) should ideally go in some OOU article on the site—and right now, the only place for it is the Rebels TV series article itself, so I would not support outright removing the Appearances section from that article until after the series actually premieres. Perhaps a retroactive clause should be added to avoid applying this to Rebels until other Rebels-related articles can house the Appearances, but until then, I don't support the proposal as it stands. CC7567 (talk) 17:54, February 12, 2014 (UTC)- I totally get what you're saying, so I've added an exception to the policy. What do you think? Cade

In the proposal, after "comic book story arc or series", you have a comma immediately followed by a period. Should something be between them or should the comma be removed? —MJ— Holocomm 22:48, January 28, 2014 (UTC)
