Hello everyone! First time I'm actually doing one of these, heh. Essentially, I want to open a discussion on what the infobox on the Stormtrooper (First Order) page is. There are several options, but its an important enough page that I don't think I should make it by myself. As I think many people know, the First Order stormtrooper helmet design changes ever so slightly between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, with the "mouth line" becoming sleeker between films. As such, some users may prefer the more recent design. We also have two options of the Force Awakens design. If anyone has any other suggestions, you have my permission to add them Editoronthewiki (talk) 03:35, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
EDIT: User:JMAS has found a potential fourth option, now added Editoronthewiki (talk) 04:40, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
EDIT 2: Through his photo magic, JMAS actually was able to get my preferred image transparent without damaging the trooper's foot. Editoronthewiki (talk) 05:39, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

I have to be honest and cast my vote for this one. Yes, its the older mouth line, but I think it manages to both have a pose and but also not be weirdly static. As for the mouth line, we have the older A New Hope style mouth line for the infobox for stormtrooper and no one complains, even though Empire Strikes Back changed the "mouth line" to black and Return of the Jedi made the "mouth line" smaller. I think its a small enough difference that it can be lived with. Editoronthewiki (talk) 03:35, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- first one has a goofy looking stance. picking this one over 3 because i prefer the in-action pose BloodOfIrizi

Ditto. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 03:44, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Option 1 is just ... no. Option 3 has the black outline around the trooper due to it being an Advanced Graphics standee. Regarding the mouth line, I don't think they are any different. I think the mouth line looks different in Option 3 because of the angle the head is held at. Option 2 is by far the best option. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 04:16, 9 January 2023 (UTC)- Its hard to spot because of the pose, but option three does possess the later helmet style. Its a slight difference between films that once you notice, you never stop noticing :P Editoronthewiki (talk) 04:44, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

(talk!) 10:14, 9 January 2023 (UTC) - I think the differences between this armor and the chronologically later one are minimal, and otherwise this just seems an all-around better infobox image to me. Imperators II(Talk) 13:54, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

- Lovely, simple black/white matte with that "I'm taking job seriously" trooper stance. OOM 224 00:07, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yep, go back with my original stance. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 00:36, 10 January 2023 (UTC) - Per elimination: 2 is way too dynamic, 5 isn't in a neutral pose and is not facing front, 1 the pose make the trooper looks goofy, and doesn't distinct well against a white background, 3 is taken from a low angle that make the trooper too dominering, while the image is way too flat, which leave us with 4. While a 1:6 model, it's real not missing anything, and the variation between movies isn't that important to warrant rejecting it. NanoLuukeCloning Facility 01:21, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- This one just looks best to me. VergenceScatter (talk) 01:35, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- This has the best lighting IMO, also i don't think we've had this many voting options on an infobox image CT since the days of yonder Canon Thrawn infobox votes Fan26 (Talk) 02:29, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

- I'm sorry to betray my option 2 fellows, but I did note upfront this had been my preferred option. Its a neutral stance and I think clearly shows off the trooper. Thanks JMAS! Editoronthewiki (talk) 05:39, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

Just to note, some other contenders I found are here and here; the former was my prefered image, but the word "STORMTROOPER" cuts into the trooper's foot, so it would not be a great full body. The other one is too posed to work, I believe. Editoronthewiki (talk) 03:35, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
