The administrative autonomy policy is a bit of a relic from the past that needs revisiting. Forum:SH:Administrative autonomy revamp addresses the changes that are being proposed with this CT.

The emphasis is on making the policy reflect the collaborative nature of the administration enforcing site policies as a group, rather than individual admins unilaterally making changes that are difficult to be overturned by other admins—the old system is indicative of the issue of dictatorial behaviour of the administration in the past. The proposal focuses on having a system in place to handle potential disagreements, where an admin may not unilaterally overturn another admin's actions without a group consensus from the rest of the administration, but with minimal bureaucratic fluff such as public CTs or long waiting times. In order to accomodate potential issues that have to be dealt with in a timely manner, the minimum waiting period for gathering admins' responses (e.g. after a ping on Discord) is 2 days, but it is recommended that a longer waiting period such as a week be provided for non-urgent matters. In any case, overturning an admin's action must require the administration to come to a majority agreement.

To summarise the proposed policy in a nutshell: If an administrator's decision is in question, then the administration should deliberate on the matter collectively. We don't want to be stepping on each others' toes!
