"I mean, I could slap the repulsor on there now. That's no problem. But without some good durasteel struts it'd shake loose in a day or two."
"And you don't have the struts."
"Not since Surat's guys came through. They took all my best parts to their island."

Durasteel struts were a high quality speeder part. They were the only things strong enough to secure an aftermarket hydro-repulsor to a speeder bike.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] members of Surat Nuat's gang took Temmin Wexley's best parts, including durasteel struts, while he was at a junkyard near Mount Selasa on Akiva. He was later saved from members of the gang by a scoundrel Kay Vess who was hoping Temmin would install a hydro-repulsor on her S57 Cardinal speeder bike. After explaining that members of the gang stole his struts, Vess had him install the repulsor anyway so she could make to the gang's island in Lake Amari where the gang took the stolen struts and recover them. A Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport left the island with the parts as Vess arrived. She then proceeded to chase the transport to another base in the Stormhollow region of the planet where she ultimately recovered the struts. She later returned them to Temmin in Myrra, the capital city of Akiva, where he used them to secure the repulsor for Vess.[1]

Behind the scenes

Hydro-repulsors appeared as a speeder upgrade in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It was part of the game's quest "The Scavenger".[1]
