"Qorvino's island hideout""
―Kay Vess to herself when she approached the hideout[1]

Qorvino's island hideout was a island on Lake Amari in the Great Basin region of the jungle planet Akiva.

Description

An island located in the southern portion Lake Amari in the Great Basin region of the jungle planet Akiva. The island contained several Ahia-Ko ruins.

History

The Ahia-Ko constructed several buildings that had fallen into ruin by the Imperial Era.[1] At some point before 3 ABY,[2] the assassin Ochi of Bestoon waited for a target for several day while on the island. When the target arrived, Ochi killed him and disintegrated all five of his guards. Afterward he left behind a report bragging about the incident on a datapad near some ruins on the island. The island became the side of a smuggling cache for the Miyuki Trade League at some point.[1]

It was later used as a pirate hideout by the captain Qorvino and his gang after they abandoned their cave hideout in the Karaba Foothills on Akiva.[1] Qorvino later buried a starmap he had acquired on a different island nearby that possessed the coordinates to the tomb of the Khepi in the Sayma Nebula. After burying it, he left a message on a datapad at the island hideout intended for his child, Hella, that gave instructions for where to find the buried map. In 3 ABY,[2] a scoundrel named Kay Vess followed a trail of messages left for Hella to the island hideout and ultimately to the star map which she proceeded to use to plot a route to the tomb hoping to claim its treasure.[1]

Behind the scenes

Qorvino's island hideout was appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws published by Ubisoft.[1] Though it wasn't until the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion which was released on May 15, 2025[3] that the island was identified as such. Before the expansion it was just an island where the player could find Smuggler Cache 38 and a datapad title "Ochi's report".[1]
