The windfarm where Nih's mother lived on Toshara
A human female worked as a windfisher at a windfarm in the Lost Steppe region of the Outer Rim moon Toshara during the reign of the Galactic Empire[1] By 3 ABY,[2] their daughter Nih wanted to leave the farm to work in the moon's capital city Mirogana. However, her mother was against her relocation and instead wanted Nih to stay away from the Empire, which had a significant presence in the city.[1]
That year,[2] Nih and her mother were arguing about the former's desire to work in Mirogana when the mother noticed the scoundrel Kay Vess passing by. Requesting Vess's opinion as an outsider, the mother went about explaining the situation, stating their desire to keep their daughter away from the Empire, and once again asked Nih to remain at the farm for one more season. After hearing from both mother and daughter, Vess was left with a choice to either recommend that Nih stay or leave.[1]
Personality and traits
- "Exactly. And this moon, our history, is worth fighting for."
"I understand, Nih. Believe me. But the path you're on is dangerous. I don't want you getting hurt." - ―Nih talking with her mother
Nih's mother cared deeply about their daughter's safety. They had black hair, blue eyes and tan skin.[1]
Equipment
While arguing with Nih[1] in 3 ABY,[2] they wore a brown vest over a red shirt, red pants, brown boots and a teal scarf.[1]
Behind the scenes
Nih's mother, identified by the subtitles as simply "windfisher," appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws which was developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. In the game, they appear as part of an optional conversation the player can choose to have while at the windfarm on Toshara. During the conversation, the player has two options: either tell Nih to stay at the farm for another season or to go to Mirogana. Neither choice affects the outcome of the game's story.[1]
