Unidentified junkyard (Great Basin)

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A junkyard located in the Great Basin near Lake Amari on the jungle planet Akiva that was considered old by 3 ABY. During which members of Surat Nuat's gang cornered Temmin Wexley at the junkyard and stole his best parts, including a set of durasteel struts.

The junkyard was located in the Great Basin near Lake Amari on the jungle planet Akiva. It consisted of a single red building with a two story domed section and a flat single story section.^[1]

History

The old junkyard was considered a good source of scrap by Temmin Wexley during the Imperial Era.^[1] In 3 ABY,^[2] Wexley was at the junkyard when he was ambushed by members of Surat Nuat's gang and forced him to hide within the junkyard's building. Members of the gang fired their blasters at the building's door while other members made off with some of Wexley's best speeder parts. Meanwhile a scoundrel named Kay Vess, who was looking for Wexley to have him modify her S57 Cardinal speeder bike, was directed to the junkyard by Wexley's aunts Shirene and Esmelle in the village of Sashin.^[1]

When she arrived at the junkyard, gang members were still trying to blast their way into the building where Wexley was sheltering. Vess went on to defeated the gang members. Afterward she approached the door and reassured Wexley that she wasn't there to hurt him and that their mutual friend Gedeek Obaz sent her. The two talked and Vess learned that the durasteel struts required to securely attach a hydro-repulsor to her speeder were stolen by Surat Nuat's guys. Undeterred, she had Wexley attach the repulsor at the junkyard using a less secure means so she could travel to the gang's island and retrieve the struts.^[1]

During the same year,^[2] traveling merchants occasionally stopped near the junkyard where passersby could purchase various materials. Scout troopers with the Galactic Empire would also stop at the junkyard during that year.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The junkyard appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The location is related to the "The Scavenger" expert quest. In the game, Shirene calls the location "an old junkyard" otherwise it is not identified A fast travel point was located near the junkyard.^[1]
