- "Oh, oh! Sour berries, roast pomork. Oh I wonder if I could find some meatvine!"
"Later, Greez." - ―Greez Dritus and Cal Kestis
Meatvine was a type of food that was edible to humans and Latero.[1]
In 9 BBY,[2] the Latero Greez Dritus wondered if he would be able to find some meatvine when listing food to the human Jedi Knight Cal Kestis that he hoped to prepare in celebration once they managed to reach the planet Tanalorr.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, meatvine was mentioned during an optional conversation in the 2023 Respawn Entertainment video game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.[1] The food originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was mentioned in "Endor and the Moddell Sector," an article published in the Star Wars Roleplaying Game magazine Star Wars Gamer 9[3] on February 22, 2002.[4]
