Cordota was a terrestrial astronomical object[4] located in Lantillian sector's Cordota system[3] in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Slice,[2] situated in grid square P-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid. A hyperspace route connected it to[1]the worlds[5][6] Lantillies and Bracca.[1] During the start of journalist Rhil Dairo's career, she at one point worked as a cub reporter covering micro-g basket weaving on Cordota at the behest of her producer, among contributing to other stories.[4] In 231 BBY,[7] Dairo reflected on how far she had progressed in her profession while working with the Jedi Master Stellan Gios, thinking about how the significance of her work had increased since her time on the astronomical object.[4]

Cordota was first mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[4] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[8]
