558 ModSuFi was the title of a red-level METOSP issued by the consular office of the New Republic's Space Ministry on[1] the world[2] Firrerre via the Moddell Node and Sugai Subnode.[1]

The document warned spacers of the dangers of approaching or landing on the desert planet Jakku, listing the hostile environment of the planet and surrounding space, lack of services and law enforcement, presence of criminal elements, and distance to the nearest New Republic office on Firrerre as hazards. It also warned them that New Republic assistance was not available on Jakku and had to be requested in person on Firrerre. The scavenger Rey found a physical copy of 558 ModSuFi on the Pilgrim's Road on Jakku and believed it offered good advice, including it in her survival guide[1] by 34 ABY.[3]

Behind the scenes

558 ModSuFi was created for Rey's Survival Guide, a 2015 replica journal written by Jason Fry. In the British release of the book, the document is included as a double-sided fold out page[1] but the version release in the United States included only a single side of the document with large amounts of the text removed, including the document's name.[4]
