"Go to the planet Sukalan. And visit the temple Elujoji."
"What awaits there…?"
"Truth."
―The Father and Shogun[1]

The Father was a male[1] god[2] who appeared to the Jedi known as Shogun in a vision. Near the end of a war[1] between the Jedi clans and the Sith,[3] Shogun was struck by what seemed like lightning while standing on the top of a tower. The impact caused them to fall from the tower, and they then saw a vision of the Father, who told them to visit the temple Elujoji on the planet Sukalan. When Shogun asked what awaited there, the Father told them they would find "truth." Later, when Shogun met[1] the former Sith[3] known as the Ronin, they told him about their vision of the Father and how they were still searching for the temple. The Ronin had heard of the temple but did not know its location.[1]

In Shogun's vision, the Father appeared massive in size. The Father wore large earrings and a crown and had a long beard.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Father appeared in a vision in a flashback in the non-canon comic Visions 1, written and illustrated by Takashi Okazaki,[1] and published by Marvel Comics on October 12, 2022.[4] The Father's design was based on George Lucas,[2] the creator of Star Wars.[5] The scene in which the Father appeared was influenced by The Incal,[2] a comic series by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Mœbius.[6]
