Estaria was an astronomical object[2] in the Estaria system in the Indrexu sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] that featured a number of orbital ports and was known for its dense civilian traffic. During the Battle of Jakku, the final large-scale engagement of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic,[2] in 5 ABY,[3] the New Republic pilot Nath Tensent noted that he had never seen so many starships in one place, considering it more dense than at the Estaria orbital ports and at worlds of the Commerce Guild[2] conglomerate.[4]

Behind the scenes

Estaria was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Victory's Price: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the third novel in the Alexander Freed Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy which was published in 2021.[2] In Star Wars Legends, the planet Estaria was first mentioned in Hideouts & Strongholds—a sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which was written by Sterling Hershey and published in 1998—with the introduction of "Estaria Central Starport."[5] Estaria was first individually named by "Xim Week: The History of Xim and the Tion Cluster," an article written by Jason Fry for Hyperspace in 2009.[6]
