The Eighth Army, also known as Bright Jewel Command, was a Republic and later Imperial Sector Army charged with the defense of the Bright Jewel Oversector. One of the Northern Campaign Sector Armies, which consisted of Systems Armies Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta, the 8th Sector Army focused its operations during the Clone Wars on the Separatist worlds of Mygeeto and Muunilinst. Because of the focuses of its operations, the 8th Sector Army saw some of the heaviest fighting of any of the Sector Armies, to the extent that several of the reserve commands repeatedly reinforced it.[1]
