Economics was a science.[1] Macroeconomics[2] and microeconomics were branches of economics,[3] and economists were specialists in economics.[4]

Behind the scenes

Economics was first mentioned in the Imperial Sourcebook, a 1989 supplement written by Greg Gorden and published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[5] In the real world, economics is a science that studies the general concepts of production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.[6]
