- "E chu ta! That hurts!"
- ―Cade Skywalker, to Darth Talon
E chu ta was a rude Huttese expletive.[2] It was sometimes shortened to just "chu ta".[3]
History
- "Oh, nice to see a familiar face."
"E chu ta!"
"How rude!" - ―C-3PO and E-3PO
In 3 ABY, C-3PO greeted fellow protocol droid E-3PO in Cloud City on Bespin, only to receive "e chu ta" as a response.[4]
In 137 ABY, Cade Skywalker said it to Darth Talon.[1]
Behind the scenes
The phrase "e chu ta" was created by sound designer Ben Burtt as a Huttese expletive for the 1980 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. According to Burrt, it is not really appropriate to translate.[2]
