A duck was a species found in the galaxy, including the planet Naboo.^[2] A duck's young was called a duckling, and tended to follow elder ducks around.^[3] In Galactic Basic Standard, the expression "sitting duck" meant someone or something that was very easy to shoot or attack.^[1]
