The Drilbia system was located in the Sullust sector, a part of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square M-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Drilbia system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3]
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the "Drilb system,"[4] in reference to the Drilbian wine beverage,[5] was first mentioned in "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article written by Glen Allison as a supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the thirteenth issue of the Voyages SF magazine. Since the article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process, its canonicity with respect to Star Wars Legends was never confirmed.[4] The system was eventually named "Drilbia" in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[6]
