Diredeer were a type of deer edible by Quarren.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] when Quarren Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellor Orlen Mollo was on the planet E'ronoh to discuss their conflict with their neighboring world of Eiram, he felt that he was being too coddled—he was served candied cactus flower—and would have preferred a burnt, crispy joint of diredeer, oily enough to stain clothing.[1]

Diredeer were mentioned in Cataclysm, a novel written by Lydia Kang and published in 2023 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3]
