"Someone from the senator's office keeps an eye on everyone in the diplomatic corps. If the proper skill set shows up, she gets a notification."
―Saché, to Tepoh, about Dormé[1]

The diplomatic corps of[1] the Mid Rim[3] planet Naboo was formed[1] by 22 BBY.[2] At some point, the Naboo Tepoh worked for the diplomatic organization as an attendant and as part of a protective detail. By the time of the Clone Wars, the handmaiden Dormé monitored every member of the diplomatic corps and was notified when someone with a skill set suitable for the retinue of her employer, Senator Padmé Amidala, was working with the organization.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] Tepoh caught Dormé's eye, and zhe was invited for an interview, though the latter later passed zher information to her former colleague, Representative Saché. After the representative hired Tepoh, Saché explained to zher that zhe had been initially interviewed by Dormé because she flagged zher skillset from working for the diplomatic corps.[1]

Behind the scenes

The diplomatic corps was mentioned in Queen's Hope,[1] a 2022 young-adult novel written by E. K. Johnston[4] as the third installment of Star Wars: Queen's Series.[1]
