- "Ex-Imperial sharpshooter, last name Mayfeld. Apprehended near the Dilestri system on a derelict prison ship."
- ―Din Djarin, to Cara Dune
The Dilestri system was a star system[2] in the Hevvrol sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] near which[2] the New Republic Correctional Transport Bothan-5[3] was infiltrated by a crew of mercenaries, who broke out the prisoner Qin,[4] around 9 ABY.[5] Some of the mercenaries,[4] including the ex-Imperial sharpshooter Migs Mayfeld,[2] were captured and imprisoned aboard the correctional transport[4] before the derelict prison ship was found near the Dilestri system. Another member of the crew, the Mandalorian Din Djarin, mentioned the events near the system in a conversation with the New Republic Marshal Cara Dune.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Dilestri system was mentioned in "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" of Jon Favreau's Disney+ series Star Wars: The Mandalorian, directed by Robert Rodriguez[2] and released on December 4, 2020.[6]

SWCC 2019: 9 Things We Learned from The Mandalorian Panel on StarWars.com (backup link) establishes that Star Wars: The Mandalorian is set about five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 4 ABY. Therefore, the events of "Chapter 6: The Prisoner," including the rescue of Qin, must have taken place around 9 ABY.
