An air strike team was a sub-unit of the planet Desix's droid battalion. It was comprised of six B1-series battle droids, four of which were armed with RPS-6 rocket launchers and two with E-5 blaster rifles and led by the T-series tactical droid responsible for the entirety of Desix City's forces.[1]
History
The air strike team was a group of B1-series battle droids that were reactivated by governor Tawni Ames of Desix sometime after the end of the Clone Wars as part of a Separatist holdout that was organized into a droid battalion that was tasked with maintaining Desix's independence from the newly formed Galactic Empire. The battalion would be mobilized following the arrival of Grotton who, accompanied by a squad of TK stormtroopers, was sent by the Empire to take Ames' place as governor of Desix only to be captured along with his men. Upon news of this reaching the Imperial authorities, a strike team of clone stormtroopers under the joint-command of Clone Commander Cody and clone commando Crosshair was sent to rescue Grotton and install him as Desix's governor.[1]
Arriving on Imperial Shuttle 995, the air strike team was deployed and fired upon the Nu-class attack/transport shuttle with their RPS-6 rocket launchers and damaged the shuttle with the finishing blow being given by the Armored Assault Tank Mk I that the battalion possessed in their arsenal and successfully downed the shuttle. While downing the shuttle, the strike team survived and quickly went into action with all clone troopers who weren't injured going into battle and heading for the main gate of Desix City. After Crosshair took out the AAT, the strike team remained at their post and fired upon the advancing clones with several of them being killed by the team and their rocket launchers, however Crosshair successfully dispatched the droids and quickly eliminated them before they could inflict further casualties and relieved the team, allowing them to advance into the city and engage the rest of the battalion which would be eliminated along with Ames herself by the end of the battle.[1]

Star Wars: The Bad Batch — "The Solitary Clone"
- ↑ Per the reasoning here, the seventh and eighth episodes of The Bad Batch Season 2, "The Clone Conspiracy" and "Truth and Consequences," can be placed in 18 BBY. Therefore, all Season 2 episodes proceeding "The Clone Conspiracy" occur between 19 BBY, which features the end of The Bad Batch Season 1 according to Star Wars: Timelines, and 18 BBY. The Galactic Empire, the formation of which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 19 BBY, sent Mayday's squad to Barton IV over a year prior to the events of the twelfth episode, "The Outpost." As it occurs over a year into the Imperial Era and is set shortly after the events of "Truth and Consequences," the events of "The Outpost" occur around 18 BBY. Following that logic, the ninth through eleventh episodes ("The Crossing" through "Metamorphosis") are also set around 18 BBY because they occur between the events of "Truth and Consequences" and "The Outpost." Finally, all season 2 episodes set after "The Outpost" occur shortly after its events, thereby placing those episodes around 18 BBY as well.
