Derra Outpost

The Derra Outpost was an outpost of the Jedi Order located on^[1] the Expansion Region^[2] astronomical object Derra during the High Republic Era.^[1] By 231 BBY,^[3] Jedi Master Tera Sinube was the outpost's marshal.^[1] That year,^[3] after the Nihil pirates attacked the Cyclor Shipyards that orbited the Mid Rim planet Cyclor, the Derra Outpost dispatched a drift of Jedi Vectors led by Jedi Master Porter Engle to assist.^[1]

Upon learning of the attack, Jedi High Council member Stellan Gios questioned what the nearest outpost to Cyclor was, and Jedi Padawan Burryaga Agaburry informed him it was the Derra Outpost. As Gios tried to recall who the outpost's marshal was,^[1] Jedi Knight^[4] Nib Assek provided him with the name. Afterward, Gios contacted Sinube to inform him of the attack, but the marshal told him the outpost had been aware of the attack and had already sent the drift to help. Following this, Gios informed Grand Master Pra-Tre Veter of the Derra Outpost's reinforcements.^[1]

The Derra Outpost was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's^[1] Phase I.^[5]
