Darren Abysina was a Twi'lek who was an ambassador for the Galactic Republic during the late High Republic Era. Around the year[1] 134 BBY,[2] Abysina served as a Republic ambassador to the planet Siline who were in negotiations to join the Republic after been affiliated with it for almost two hundred years. The Jedi Master Brand also served as delegate or the Jedi Order to the negotiation, but accidentally created a diplomatic incident when he repeatedly refused the challenges to a friendly duel by the Silinese War Council member Rap Arcon. In response, Brand was ordered away from Siline and Masters Sol and Elishe and their Padawans Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar were sent to the planet to to clear up the misunderstanding. During their stay, the Jedi managed to uncover a conspiracy during in that year's Crowning Convocation. Afterwards the Jedi successfully returned to Coruscant and Abysina believed that the negotiations would go better now, though they remained delayed while the Silinese worked themselves out internally.[1]
