"Well I run the place. You can't expect me to go off and help out a wayward employee, can you?"
―Cuan Talon, to a spacer[1]

Cuan Talon was a male Bothan alive during the Galactic Civil War. He ran Tosche Station after the Battle of Yavin, along with his warehouse manager Janus.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] spacers approached Cuan with an inquiry about a droid recently acquired by Janus from the Jawa traders of Sand Crawler 345. The spacers were hired by Imperial Commander Barrezz as well as Rebel Captain Bastra who both were looking for the droid. Cuan replied that he had no idea about the droid's location, though Janus might have. He informed them that Janus had crashed his speeder bike earlier that day, and he gave the spacer the location of his employee. After arriving at the location, the spacers would report to Cuan that Janus had been killed by Desert Demons.[1] Cuan Talon was also friend with an old woman named Sorna and tried to help her as often as possible.[3]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
