The Couronne system was located in the Couronne sector[3] of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square P-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid, and the hyperspace route[1] known as the Great Kashyyyk Branch[4] linked it to the Zavian Abyss as well as the Mid Rim Territories' Kashyyyk system.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Couronne system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a map[1] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[5] that was created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and given out as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[6] on May 27, 2022[7] prior to the book's release during Celebration Europe[8] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[9] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map article on StarWars.com[3] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[10] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via a mention in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[11]
