Yoda Uncovered

"Yoda Uncovered" is a comic story by Martin Fisher featured in the eighth issue of Star Wars Comic magazine, released in July of 2014.

Plot summary

Around 20 BBY, Jedi Grand Master plans on going to Tatooine undercover in order to root out a ring of Jawa thieves who were recovering Republic wreckage and selling it to Count Dooku, causing heavy casualties in battle.

On Tatooine, Yoda went undercover as Nemb of the Adoy Clan. He meets other Jawas, and allays their suspicion by telling them he was injured. The Jawa chief tells him they could come to an agreement. Aside, the chief tells his partner to check on Yoda's bag while he was sleeping.

When the other Jawa does so, he just finds a cloak. Yoda then uses a mind trick on the Jawa so he would report back that Nemb could be trusted.

The next day, the Jawa chief brings Yoda to meet their client, Dooku. Dooku was also suspicions, but Yoda affirms that he was there to trade. Dooku then tells him that with their help, the Confederacy would win the war and free the Jawas.

They were then interrupted by a B1-series battle droid, and an explosion. Fodani appeared, and told the assembled figures that he had been held as a slave by Dooku. Yoda then reveals himself, and tells Dooku that he had found his slave camp and freed them.

Dooku starts dueling Yoda, and shocks him with Force lightning.

The Sith Lord orders Yoda to surrender, but Yoda points out that he had underestimated those around him. The Jawas then hit him with their ion blasters. In turn, Yoda tells him to surrender, but Dooku hits the Jawa clan with a Force push.

He then flees to his solar sailer, telling them that the war wasn't finished. The Jawa chief then apologizes to Yoda. The chief turns over Separatist schematics, and offers him a place in his clan, should Yoda ever leave the Jedi Order. Yoda responds by wishing him, "May the Force be with you."
