The Cophrigin system was a star system in the Ash Worlds of the Outer Rim Territories[1] to which viper probe droids were deployed during[2] Project Swarm,[3] an initiative by the Galactic Empire to discover the location of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's hidden headquarters following the Imperial defeat at the Battle of Yavin[2] in 0 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Cophrigin was mentioned in Jack Mitchell's 2021 original trilogy adaptation, The Odyssey of Star Wars: An Epic Poem.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Cophrigin system and the planet Cophrigin V were introduced in the comic story "Extinction," which was written by Ron Marz, illustrated by Claudio Castellini, and published in two parts, with the first included in Star Wars Tales #1[5] on September 29, 1999.[6]
