A colony ship was a specialized starship tasked with transporting colonists to new planets to settle them and begin new communities.

Outbound Flight was a colony ship that was designed to transport 50,000 colonists on a several year journey away from the galaxy.[1]

The Revan Mythologies credited the colony ships from Tython with the discoveries of Koros Major, Coruscant and Corellia.[2]
