Cincey was a human who was a member of the Path of the Open Hand. They managed the communications of the order, censoring outgoing messages on the behalf of the Elders, and collecting information useful for the Children's missions. They served as the team's technology expert and piloted the Children's shuttle, the Harmony. Cincey utilized a hoverchair.[1]
Behind the scenes
Cincey first appeared in Path of Deceit, a 2022 young-adult novel written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[5] When asked about the usage of singular "they/them" pronouns for Cincey in Path of Deceit, Gratton stated that they had intended the usage to indicate a non-binary gender for the character.[2]
