Chibias was an astronomical object[2] in the Chibias system in the Sombure sector of the Mid Rim Territories, in grid square K-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] that was represented by Senator Tontra Doroon in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic and, after the Republic's reformation into the Galactic Empire[2] in 19 BBY,[3] the Empire's Imperial Senate.[2]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Chibias was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, which was written by Alexander Freed as the first instalement of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[2] It originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Handoff," a short story written by Timothy Zahn and published in Star Wars Gamer 10[4] on May 7, 2002.[5]
