Charnoqs were a species native to the planet Maridun. They were hunted by the Amanin, a sentient species from the same planet.[1]

Behind the scenes

Charnoqs originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, and were first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 12: Aliens — Enemies and Allies, a roleplaying game supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, published by West End Games in 1995.[2] They were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in "Mustafar and Other Planets in the Outer Rim,"[1] a 2022 booklet in a series of reference booklets titled the Star Wars Encyclopedia.[3]
