- "Have you done this before?"
[Lina shakes her head] "But I watched Dad that time, remember? When the pirates came after us on Chankin."
"That was years ago!" - ―Milo and Lina Graf
Chankin was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Chankin system in the Mid Rim's Jidlor Marches sector.[1] Years prior[2] to 18 BBY,[3] pirates came after the Graf family of cartographers on Chankin until the family's father, Auric Graf, fired a shot from Mu-class shuttle Whisper Bird while his daughter Lina Graf watched.[2]
In 18 BBY,[3] Lina needed to make a similar shot using the weapons of the freighter Moveable Feast against Imperial forces to save the Bridger family. When her brother Milo Graf questioned if she had used a ship's weapons before, Lina brought up watching their father do so on Chankin, but Milo countered that the incident had been long ago and the Whisper Bird likely had different systems to that of the freighter. Despite this, Lina successfully made the shot.[2]
