The Champat system was located within an intersecting area of the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior regions[2] in grid square M-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the terrestrial astronomical object Champat, where the human Caluan Ematt was born in 20 BBY.[3] An industrial location, Champat was a major resource and production hub for the Galactic Empire by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Champat system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both works were written by Jason Fry and released on June 24, 2025.[5]
