- "Have you ever seen the Forbidden Gardens of Nuswatta? Or perhaps heard the beautiful music of the Cathedral of Winds?"
- ―An excerpt from Maz Kanata's journal
The Cathedral of the Winds was a musical point of interest in the galaxy. In her journal[1] written no earlier than 34 ABY,[2] pirate Maz Kanata wrote that she had heard the beautiful music of the Cathedral of the Winds, and that it was among the most wondrous things she had witnessed in her life, alongside the Forbidden Gardens of Nuswatta.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Cathedral of the Winds was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Forces of Destiny: Tales of Hope & Courage, a 2017 replica journal book written by Elizabeth Schaefer.[1] The Cathedral of Winds originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 1994 novel Dark Apprentice, the second book of the The Jedi Academy Trilogy written by Kevin J. Anderson.[3]
