The Cargo Comet was a Wayfarer-class medium freighter that was part of Senator Bail Organa's secret resistance movement. During the blockade of Ibaar, Organa ordered the Cargo Comet and the Cargo Sky to be loaded with supplies and equipment and to deliver it past the blockade to the rebel network operating there.[1]
While Bail Organa's adoptive daughter, Princess Leia Organa, oversaw the Cargo Comet and the Cargo Sky being loaded with the cargo in Sanctuary Coast Starport on Alderaan, six agents from the Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Office of Customs arrived at the landing bay to inspect the shipment, and requested all permits and manifests, but left empty-handed.[1]
