Caamasi cheese pies were a type of circular, tan-brown cheese pie that were plated with two white, fang-like decorative pieces.^[1] The pies shared their name with the Caamasi species.^[2] The human Lady Qi'ra^[1]—the leader of the criminal syndicate^[3] Crimson Dawn—considered the pies to be sweet but a tad savory.^[1]

Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,^[4] Qi'ra ate a Caamasi cheese pie as^[1] she^[3] dined with the human Cadeliah—the heir to the criminal syndicates Unbroken Clan and Mourner's Wail—at a Crimson Dawn base. After Cadeliah attempted to kill Qi'ra and was stopped by^[1] the Knight of Ren Vicrul,^[5] Qi'ra recommended the pies to the young girl. After she sat back down, Cadeliah began to cut one of the pies.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Caamasi cheese pies appeared and were identified in the twenty-second issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. The issue was written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Paolo Villanelli, and published by Marvel Comics^[1] on April 6, 2022.^[6] Prior to the release of the issue, the pie was depicted in a preview article of the issue that was published on StarWars.com on March 30 of the same year.^[7]
