Caamasi

The Caamasi^[4] were a sentient species that existed in the galaxy. They were covered in grey^[2] or brown fur, and had two pointed ears and a snout.^[1] Like the Alderaanians, they were noted for their pacifism.^[5] The species shared its name with the Caamasi cheese pies^[6] and the Caamasi light sculptures.^[7] The Caamasi Jedi Master Ela Sutan was a member of the Jedi High Council during the High Republic Era.^[4]

Behind the scenes

Caamasi first appeared in the first issue of the canonical comic book miniseries Star Wars: Han Solo,^[8] written by Marjorie Liu, illustrated by Mark Brooks, and published by Marvel Comics on June 15, 2016.^[9] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Caamasi originated in the 1997 novel Specter of the Past, written by Timothy Zahn.^[10]
