The Brield system was a star system located in the Colonies[1] and the Interior,[2] situated in grid square M-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] At some point during the High Republic Era, Jedi Padawan Reath Silas undertook a rescue mission to the system to clear passengers from a badly malfunctioning transport.[3] In 232 BBY,[4] Silas thought about his time in the star system, considering the rescue mission a departure from his usual training within the Jedi Temple's Jedi Archives on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.[3]

The Brield system was first mentioned in the 2021 young-adult novel The High Republic: Into the Dark, written by Claudia Gray as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase I.[5]
