The Bpfasshi were a humanoid species associated with the religion the Truthsayers of Bpfassh.[1] In 382 BBY,[3] one member of the species who was a Truthsayer confronted Ran Yaltan for pretending to be a Truthsayer in the Holy City on the moon Jedha.[1] They originated from the Bpfassh system.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Bpfasshi first appeared in Canon in the first issue of the 2022 run of the Star Wars: The High Republic comic series by Cavan Scott.[1] The species made their debut in Star Wars Legends in the 1991 novel Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn.[4]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Bpfassh system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Bpfasshi species.
